Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia (NUMed) has been consistently ranked as one of the top medical schools in the United Kingdom (UK) and is Newcastle University's first campus branch to be established outside the UK. It awards graduates with the same internationally-recognized accreditation as the UK campus. Offering undergraduate degrees in Medicine and Biomedical Sciences as well as opportunities for postgraduate studies, this 13-acre campus was handed over in May 201 1 with its first intake of students in September 2011.
