- Colobaba Eco Botanic
“Colobaba” is a brand imported from Taiwan. The name “Colo” means colourful tropical fruits produced in the country and “Baba” means a mixture of blended fruit, yoghurt and ice. Besides beverages made from fruits and yoghurt, the brand maintains the traditional milk tea too.
Before tasting the food and beverage, the beautifully designed interior is one to highlight. The palette comprises light tones, majority of the spaces are covered in pink, blue and white. The cafe is separated into two levels where the downstairs has tables for two to four and upstairs is with comfortable sofas and an outdoor balcony. There are many spots within the cafe to take nice photos.
The main series of beverages are Baba Signatures, Traditional Milk Tea and Fruit Tea. Baba Signatures are made from fresh fruits (such as mango, dragon fruit, grape and strawberry) with yoghurt and ice cream, healthy and tasty at the same time. The Traditional Milk Tea is slightly less sweet than the usual with Brown Sugar Boba. From the Fruit Tea, fresh fruits can be seen from the transparent cup. It is like infused water with a tea base. For food, Colobaba offers fusion cuisine. The gravy of Japanese Curry Chicken Rice tastes sweet and heart-filling, Tomato Spaghetti is simple and home-cooked like, Grilled Chicken Chop is unexpectedly tender and juicy accompanied by homemade Black Pepper Sauce. Their Combo Snack makes a group of friends stay longer chit-chatting. Souffle is rare to find in Johor and Colobaba made it so easy to get and lower-than-market price. Out of several flavours, Caramel Souffle is the most-favoured.

Istanbul serves a wide variety of Turkish food, from starter to dessert. Meze is the cold starter fully vegetarian. It is a dish with bread and dips. Some dips taste salty while some are sweet and spicy. The meal is followed by a main course named Coban Kavurma. It is a meat and vegetable stew, which customers may choose either chicken or lamb. This dish is a traditional Turkish food that goes well with Pilaf Rice. Another signature dish is Firin Beyti Kebab, a grilled lamb dish complemented by vegetables and cheese.
No matter how full customers get, they always order a homemade, time-consuming and freshly prepared dessert, called Kunefe. It is made from wheat, walnut, yoghurt and cheese with condiments like walnut, sugar syrup and cream to place on top before consuming. For beverages, the service staff showed a famous Turkish coffee heated to boil on a hot sand machine. It tastes really smooth – a must-try!
