Gelang Patah is a small town 25 kilometers west of Johor Bahru, and located just off the Second Link Expressway. Within the town is Gelang Patah Bus Terminal, which is a transport node for local bus connections branching out to other nearby towns. It is located at the junction of Jalan Gelang Patah, Jalan Ulu Choh, and Jalan Skudai-Gelang Patah.
The terminal should not be confused with Gelang Patah Sentral Bus Terminal (also known as GP Sentral) located further north, which serves both local Johor Bahru bus routes and intercity bus routes. It is located near the intersection of Pontian Highway and Jalan Ulu Choh.
Gelang Patah Terminal features an alighting and boarding berths, both with a capacity for two buses, and a bus park with lots for 10 buses. The terminal building features canteen stalls and retail outlets, along with toilets, prayer rooms, bus waiting areas, and a Manjalink counter. In addition, there is a taxi stand and an attached public carpark.
The terminal serves local bus services to Gelang Patah Sentral, Kota Iskandar, Tanjung Pelepas, and Pendas. Other bus services lead to CIQ 2nd Link for bus connections to Singapore. The re-opening of the terminal in October 2016 re-consolidated existing bus services to the new terminal.
